PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a welding power source device capable of connecting a semi-automatic welding module and a gouging module by exchanging each other and capable of making an operation efficient, and to provide a control method of the welding power source device.SOLUTION: A welding power source device 1 includes: an adjustment part 10 for adjusting a value of an electric current to be outputted; a pair of output terminals 25, 26 for outputting an electric current adjusted by the adjustment part 10; a confirming power source 23 for applying a voltage for confirmation between the pair of output terminals 25, 26 in the state that the outputting is stopped; a connection signal inputting terminal 27 for inputting a connection signal including information of a voltage between a semi-automatic welding module 60 and an object 90 to be treated in the state that the voltage for confirmation is applied; a connection detecting part 31 for outputting a connection detecting signal based on the connection signal; and a control part 41 for controlling the adjustment part 10 according to a control mode selected based on the connection detecting signal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
