PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To start printing in a state where a web is at a suitable position.SOLUTION: A printing device includes conveyance part for conveying a web, a print head for executing printing on the web conveyed by the conveyance part, a detection part for detecting the position of the end of the web, a steering part for adjusting the position of the end of the web, and a control unit for controlling the steering part based on the result of detecting the position of the end of the web by the detection part to feedback-control the position of the end of the web. The control unit adjusts the timing of starting printing by the print head based on the result of confirming, by the detection part, the position of the end of the web conveyed by the conveyance part after the start of the feedback control.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
