PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide lustering compositions for hair cosmetics that can give excellent luster to the hair, are capable of mixing into aqueous cosmetics homogeneously, and enable the cosmetics obtained by the addition of the compositions to maintain transparency; and to provide hair cosmetics containing the lustering composition for hair cosmetics.SOLUTION: The lustering composition for hair cosmetics of the present invention contains, as essential ingredients, (A) maleic acid modified ester gum, (B) hexa (hydroxystearic acid and/or isostearic acid and/or rosin acid) dipentaerythritol and/or dimer dilinoleyl hydrogenated rosinate condensate, and (C) polyoxyethylene hydrogenated castor oil, wherein the mass ratio of the contained component (A)/(B) is 5/1-2/1, the mass ratio of the total of the contained component (A) and (B)/(C) is 7.5/22.2-3/22.2, and suitably silicone is not contained.
