Disclosed is a display device and a method and an apparatus for side surface sealing of display panel (110), which enable to realize thin profile and good exterior appearance in device by exposing an upper surface and each side surface of the display panel (110) to the external, wherein the display device includes a display panel (110) including a first substrate (111) with pad regions (PP), a second substrate (113) bonded to remaining portions of the first substrate (111) except the pad regions (PP), and an upper polarizing film (117) attached to an entire upper surface of the second substrate (113); a panel support member (150) joined to an edge of a lower surface of the display panel (110); a panel driving part (130) including a flexible circuit film (132) attached to the pad regions (PP); and a side surface sealing member (170) for covering each side surface of the display panel (110), the flexible circuit film (132), the plurality of pad regions (PP), and each side surface of the upper polarizing film (117). |
