The invention relates to a face support for faces with pneumatic stowing, consisting of a row of self-advancing powered support assemblies with back-cantilivered bars and a pneumatic stowing wall (9) which can follow the powered support assemblies and has trailing props (10) which press the back-cantilivered bars (11), fastened in an articulated manner to the main roof bars (1) of the powered support assemblies, against the roof. So that the roof on the goaf side of the support is as far as possible underpinned without interruption or without gaps with a face support of this type, the invention proposes that the joints (12) between the main roof bars (1) and the back-cantilevered bars (11) be of rigid design in the stretched position to prevent the back-cantilevered bars (11) from swinging downwards and that the additional supporting of the back-cantilevered bars on the trailing props (10) be effected by pressure pieces (19) which are allocated to the trailing props (10) and are displaceable in the advancing position on the underside of the back-cantilevered bar (11) under load or partial load. <IMAGE>
