<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein a belt is easily offset to one side and it is difficult to prevent it by only improving part accuracy and parallelism between pulley shafts when a metal flat belt is used to improve durability of the belt in a belt driving device requiring smooth power transmission and using a driving and a driven pulley and the belt. <P>SOLUTION: The flat belt 4 is wrapped around a crown pulley 3, of which belt receiver surface is formed into crown shape having a projecting part. Near a position, in which the flat belt 4 starts to be wrapped around the crown pulley 3, a presser roller 71 formed of a double-enveloping rotor is pushed to the crown pulley 3 side by a spring from outside of the flat belt 4. A belt receiver surface of the presser roller 71 has a recessed part having a curvature equal or larger to/than that of the projecting part of the crown pulley 3, and the flat belt 4 is brought in contact with the driven pulley over the whole width thereof. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
