A file for keeping sheets of paper, file envelopes or the like has a wall part (1), optionally a back part (2) and optionally at least one cover part (3), the latter being integral with the wall part (1). A concatenating device (4) is detachably fastened to the wall part (1) and has at least two fitting strips (5a, 5b) to a fixture (5) for a retaining mechanism, especially in the form of a shackle mechanism. Of these at least two fitting strips, at least two first fitting strips (5a) are arranged parallel to each other. The wall part (1) has two tracks (7) which are integrally formed with the wall part (1) and into which the two first fitting strips (5a) can be pushed or slid. The wall part (1) also has at least one limit stop (8) which is integrally formed with the wall part and used for delimiting insertion of the fixture (5). |
