PURPOSE: A method and a system for managing credit card certification/approval through two-step are provided to perform the initial certification by using a credit card number and a mobile phone number, and perform the second certification by confirming the second certification information including a card password, an available period, and a resident registration number. CONSTITUTION: The mobile phone number and the first certification information for settling a purchase price are received from a shopping mall server(105). A mobile communication system(521) receiving the information generates/transmits a short message including a call back URL(Uniform Resource Locator) matched with a PG(Payment Gateway)/VAN(Value Added Network) company(107) to a mobile phone(503) matched with the mobile phone number. The second certification information is received from the user through the mobile communication system. The approval is requested by transmitting the first and the second certification information to a credit card company(111). A certification/approval result is received from the credit card company. The certification/approval result is transmitted to the shopping mall server.
