<p>The invention relates to a sealable container, in particular, a post container, comprising a container base (1), open upwards, made from a base wall (2) and side walls (3 to 6), preferably connected with rounded corners and a lid (7) which may be placed on the container base (1), said lid (7) for placement on the container base (1) being embodied as an insertion element. The lid (7) may also be locked to the container base (1), in particular, by means of one or more clipping or locking closure connectors (13), provided on the lid front face (17), opposite the insertion connection and the front face (5) of the container base (1).
