PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an EL panel lighting system capable of surely preventing rupture of the connecting conductors that have been pulled out for electrically connecting electrodes sandwiching a luminescent layer therebetween to an external power source, and peeling of the sealing layer. SOLUTION: A transparent electrode 2, the light-emitting layer, and a back electrode 4 are sequentially stacked on a transparent substrate 1; the sealing layer 5 is formed, by covering the electrodes and the luminescent layer; one ends of the connecting conductors 6a and 6b are connected to the transparent electrode 2 and to the back electrode 4; the other ends of the connecting conductors 6a and 6b are led out to the outside through the sealing layer 5; and the led-out parts are covered with a covering member 8 that is fixed to the substrate 1.
