PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rack guide mechanism which can smoothly slide a rack shaft without causing large slide friction when the rack shaft slides.SOLUTION: A slide contact face 12d and a base end edge 12f of a rack shaft guide 12 which slide-contacts with a rack shaft 4 are formed into circular arc shapes having the same circumferences, and the base end edge 12f of the rack shaft guide 12 is locked to a guide face 15b which is formed at a spring receiving plug 15. Since the guide face 15b is formed at a curvature radius which is substantially the same as that of the base end edge 12f, when the rack shaft 4 moves, the rack shaft guide 12 oscillates as if a roller rotates, and thus, slide friction is largely reduced.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
