A plurality of insulating panels for installation between and insulation of the metal furrings of a wall system. Preferred panels have a plastic foam core. The vertical side edges of the panels are provided with kerfs for enclosure of the metal furr ings and reduction of the thermal bridging conventionally caused by the furrings.
