The system has an ionization electrode (6) that monitors the Lambda air to fuel ratio of the gas burner (1). The signal is fed via a circuit (R,C) and a switch (S1) to a microcomputer regulator (5). The generated Lambda signal is compared with a stored Lambda signal and is used to control the supply of gas to the burner.
