As a result, vibratory stresses can be avoided which are caused by pulsation in the intake tube and which are exerted on adjacent components in the engine compartment. In addition, the quantity of unwanted drawn-in additional air is reduced by virtue of the fact that the air in the engine compartment is too warm.
