PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently secure heat quantity of a refrigerant for snow melting. SOLUTION: This heat pump device comprises a refrigerant circuit 20 connected with an indoor heat exchanger 25 for allowing the refrigerant to radiate heat to the indoor air and a heat exchanger for snow melting 52 for melting snow by allowing the refrigerant to directly radiate heat to a pavement. The refrigerant circuit 20 is constituted to perform a supercritical refrigerating cycle by circulating carbon dioxide as the refrigerant. Accordingly, heat can be applied to the pavement by the heat exchanger for snow melting 52 even after a high-temperature area of the refrigerant is increased, and the refrigerant radiates heat by the indoor heat exchanger 25, thus the indoor heating and the snow melting of the pavement can be surely performed.
