摘要 A serial communication method using a clock embedded signal and an apparatus thereof are provided to remove electromagnetic interference and reduce an overhead by not using a clock lane and a channel coding. A serial communication apparatus using a clock embedded signal includes a data division unit(112), a clock embedded signal generation unit(120), a clock embedded signal recovering unit(160), a data integration unit(154). The data division unit divides a data stream into an even data stream and an odd data stream. The clock embedded signal generation unit performs a pulse amplitude modulation of the odd and even data streams. If an external clock is inputted, the clock embedded signal generation unit inverts the polarity of the pulse amplitude modulation of the odd and even data streams and generates clock embedded even and odd signals. The clock embedded signal recovering unit compares an amplitude of the clock embedded even and odd signals with a reference voltage, and recovers the even and odd data streams. The clock embedded signal recovering unit detects a time point when the amplitude polarity of the clock embedded even and odd signals is inverted, and recovers synchronization information of the clock. The data integration unit integrates the even and odd data streams and provides the integrated even and odd data streams as the data stream.
