PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast receiver capable of executing a function of higher added-value.SOLUTION: A broadcast receiver 20100 including a data string conversion processing unit capable of generating a new data string by mixing a data string of a content received in a digital broadcast reception unit, and a data string acquired in a network communication unit, and a control unit, can acquire the performance information of an external apparatus. When outputting the received content from a digital interface 20125 to the external apparatus, a main control unit 101 switches between output of a new data string, generated by mixing the data string of a content received in the digital broadcast reception unit, and a data string acquired in the network communication unit, from the digital interface, and output of the data string in a state not subjected to the mixing from the digital interface.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 29A |
