<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a buffer material preventing an objective lens of an optical pickup device. <P>SOLUTION: An objective lens 12 is protected by attaching a buffer material 38 of appearance of C shape to an outer periphery part of an objective lens holding part 14a. An inner plane shape of the buffer material 38 is formed adapting to an outer shape line along an outer edge of a bracket 40 projected from an outer peripheral plane 45 of a ring type holding frame 44 at which the objective lens 12 of the objective lens holding part 14 is attached, and engaged with the bracket 40 at an outer side of the ring type holding frame 44 near the objective lens 12 and positioned. A wide buffer plane 46 and a sure adhesion plane 42 can be secured in the buffer material 38, as it is projected slightly from an objective plane of the objective lens 12 at the rear part of the objective lens 12 preceding for a rotation direction of the disk, the objective plane never conflict to the disk, and there is no possibility that swarf powder caused by confliction of the buffer material 38 and the disk is attached to the objective lens 12 and it damages the lens. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
