<p>PURPOSE:To install a branch pipe coupling in a simple and sure manner through a dry installation method in which no adhesive is used, by pulling up the engagement part of a receiving port short pipe by rotationally operating the cam of the branched pipe coupling and squashing a rubber ring between the engagement part and the saddle, and bringing the rubber ring under pressure attachment to the installation part of a main pipe. CONSTITUTION:When a branched pipe coupling 10 is installed at the installation port of a main pipe, a receiving short pipe 12 is inserted at a prescribed inclination angle along the main pipe, at the installation port. At the same time, a rubber ring 14 is inserted into the installation port, and a saddle 13 is closely attached to the outer surface of the installation port. Then, a cam 15 is rotationally operated, and each engagement part 16(A-D) of the receiving short pipe 12 is pulled up for the main pipe and the saddle 13. Then, the rubber ring 14 is squashed and spread between the saddle 13 and each engagement part 16, and brought under pressure attachment to the peripheral edge part of the installation port, and the water stop performance between the branched pipe coupling 10 and the main pipe can be secured. Further, since each engagement part 16 is engaged with the peripheral edge part of the installation part, the receiving port short pipe 12 is prevented from being slipped off from the installation port.</p> |
