<p>PURPOSE: To simplify an exhaust gas valve mechanism by arranging a second tube having a rotational outlet inside a first tube having first and second outlets for a valve main body selectively directing exhaust gas to a damp body and a muffler and turning the second tube. CONSTITUTION: This valve mechanism 10 includes a valve main body 12 provided with a first cylindrical tube 14 having an inlet for introducing exhaust gas. The first cylindrical tube 14 is provided with a lateral outlet hole 18 communicated with a connector 12 connected to a muffler means and an upward outlet hole 20 communicated with an outlet 4 tube 24. A second cylindrical tube 48 having an outlet 54 is arranged as a valve element 46, while an action plate 44 rotating the valve element 46 and a link mechanism 56 are arranged, and a spring 72 is installed. Therefore, the outlet 54 is communicated with the outlet hole 18 when it is in the first position, while the outlet 54 is communicated with the outlet hole 20 when it is in the second position. In this way, exhaust gas is directed to the damp body and the muffler means selectively by means of a simple valve mechanism.</p> |
