FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has central core provided with holder and mounted on shaft for rotation in ingot mold arranged on pan. Holder is pivotally mounted in stop unit, which couples holder with shaft through eyelets on shaft. These eyelets are joined with mating eyelets formed as ridges on holder. Stop portions retain holder in vertical position during rotation of central core. All eyelets are connected by cylindrical shaft providing rocking of holder in radial direction to axis of rotation. Insert is positioned at one side of holder and longitudinal slot is made at other side of holder. Longitudinal slot allows holder center of gravity to be offset relative to axis of rotation. EFFECT: increased efficiency, simplified construction and enhanced reliability in operation. 2 dwge
