<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machining head that can be used in both dry and wet atmosphere, and that controls clearance against a workpiece during machining, and also cools by removing heat in machining the workpiece as well as to stabilize temperature. SOLUTION: This machining head is constituted such that, inside a guard electrode 11 as a sensor head 9 provided in the lower part of a machining head body 3, an inner nozzle 25 is screwed onto a nozzle nut 23 which is fixed by an outer and inner nozzle nut holders 17, 13, and that an outer nozzle 47 is installed on the outside of this inner nozzle 25. Inside the sensor head 9, a coolant passage 45 is structured with an outer and inner jackets 43, 41; and, provided in this passage 45 is a coolant feeding channel 51 through which a coolant flows into the passage 45 from the tangential direction. Thus, the sensor can be used in dry and wet atmosphere, enabling a profiling function to be improved.</p> |
