<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipeline processing method, etc., for enhancing packet header processing speed by using general CPUs and sequencers. SOLUTION: This header processor has a 1st means 101 which extracts data of respective fields of a protocol header including a header extracted from a packet and inputs them to a specified storage location, a 2nd means 102 which performs retrieval by using the data in a specified storage location as a retrieval key and outputs the contents of a table entry matching the retrieval key, and a 3rd means 103 which generates the transmission destination of the packet and property information of header update information from the outupt contents of the 2nd means 102 and from the data in the storage location.</p> |
