<p>The invention presents an apparatus and method for dross removal from coating lines. The invention utilizes magnets (20) to collect dross (14) either in suspension or which has accumulated at or near the bottom of a coating pot (10). The invention utilizes the magnetic properties of the dross (14) to separate the dross (14) from the non-magnetic coating metal (12). The use of magnets (20) allows for removal of dross (14) from the coating metal (12) without simultaneously removing valuable coating metal (12) from the coating pot (10).</p> |
