<p>Disclosed is a method of preparing a sterile article. A poly(vinyl chloride) or polyvinylidene chloride polymer is produced that contains about 0.001 to about 5 wt.% of a metal complex having at least one anionic ligand that has at least one resonance structure in which the charge is localized on a carbon atom. An article is fabricated from the chlorinated polymer and the article is exposed to gamma radiation.</p> |
