The clock can be used residentially and in public places. It has increased efficiency as a result of the simultaneous indication of the astronomical time in every hour zone on the Earth. The clock consists of a standard clock mechanism (1) mounted in a map-covered globe (2) with marked boundaries of the hour zones, the axle of revolution of which is connected, by means of a transmission, to the axle of the clock hand (5) of mechanism (1). The map-globe (2) includes a northern (6) and southern (7) hemispheres with a slit between them. Every hemisphere (6, 7) has a respective half-shaft (9, 10) connected to its respective pair of gears in transmission (3), and the gear ratio in every pair of gears is 2:1 from axle (4) to the respective half-shaft (9, 10). Axle (4) of hand (5) and the axle of the minute hand (11) of mechanism (1) are protruding from slit (8). Hands (5 & 12) are fitted, respecitvely, to the ends of axles (4, 11). The map globe (2) is fitted centrally in a transparent sphere (13) of front (14) and rear (15) fixed to stand (16) hemispheres which are fixed together. Figures from 1 to 12 are written in the form of a clock face (17) on the front hemisphere (14), concentrically and peripherally to axles (4, 11), and immediately under the equator of the transparent hemispheres (14, 15) divisions (18) are marked corresponding to the hour zones and number from 1 to 24 in succession. The map globe (2) and mechanism (1) are fixed to stand (16) by means of a tube (19) which houses the axle for winding (20) of the clock mechanism (1). 2 claims, 2 figures
|
