PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support which is used for agriculture and horticulture and can sufficiently exhibit the functions of knots for improving the tangle of a growing plant, even when the plant is a seedling which grows at a small growth speed, and for preventing the falling of a binder, when the plant is bound to the support with the binder such as a string. SOLUTION: This support for agriculture and horticulture is obtained by disposing watertight caps 51, 52 on both the ends of a support 1 prepared by forming a coating layer 4 comprising a thermoplastic resin on a metal pipe 2, and forming belt-like or dotted chain-like circular projections 6 on the support from its one end to the other end so that the longitudinal distances of the circular projections 6 are successively expanded.
