PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing fitting which can easily and rigidly connect a furring strip and a metallic backing to each other. SOLUTION: The fixing fitting A for connecting an orthogonal portion between the furring strip 1 and the metallic backing 2 butted against the furring strip 1 at right angles, is constituted of a rectangular base part 9 fixed to the furring strip 1 by means of screws, and a pair of retaining portions 10 and 10 bent and extended from both edges of the base part 9 at right angles in the same direction to be fixed to mutually opposed two side faces 2a and 2b of the metallic backing 2, respectively, by means of screws. After the base part 9 is fixed to the furring strip 1 by means of the screws, the retaining portions 10 and 10 are fixed to the metallic backing 2 by means of the screws. As a result, the furring strip 1 and the metallic backing 2 can be rigidly connected together while holding an orthogonal state to each other.
