<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the burden of a user in the job of ordering consumable articles. <P>SOLUTION: The management device is provided with a means for obtaining the number of use counts, a means for storing the time when a consumable articles are used up and the time when the consumable articles are replenished to be related with the number of counts, and a timer means in every image forming apparatus. The management device is also provided with a means for calculating the degree of the consumption of the consumable articles from the output result of the above means, a means for entering an interval between which the consumable articles are ordered by a user, a means for storing information such as the name, unit price, capacity, etc., of each consumable item, a means for estimating an amount that the consumable articles are used until the subsequent order, and a means for presenting a user an optimum amount of consumable articles to be ordered and an estimated amount of money and a necessary inventory space. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
