PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an axial air gap type motor having a structure permitting eccentricity. SOLUTION: The axial air gap type motor having a motor section 1a where a stator 4 is arranged oppositely to a rotor 3 through a predetermined air gap 14 in the axial direction of the rotor 3 comprises a case 5 housing the rotor and the stator, and a bearing 13 interposed between the case and the rotor in order to permit sliding of the rotor for the case in the direction intersecting the center line of the case perpendicularly and to permit rotation of the rotor about the axis of rotation wherein a permanent magnet arranged on the rotor is slidable in the direction intersecting the center line of the rotor perpendicularly, and a means 15 for urging a permanent magnet arranged slidably on the rotor in the direction intersecting the center line of the rotating shaft perpendicularly is provided.
