<p>The motor vehicle suspension unti comprises a coil spring and a damper. In the top part anchoring the unit to the bodywork an axial thrust cage (22) is fitted, containing a needle-roller bearing (21), and also having two circular edges (23a 24). One of these forms a grease chamber and the other protects the components of the suspension unit. The edges can be concentric, the outer one having a curved lip to act as a protective seal. The design absorbs radial and transverse loads and damps out shocks and noise caused by the vehicle movement, particularly over rough grond.</p> |
