PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a car navigation system and route setting method wherein setting of destination by driven is not required. SOLUTION: To an electronic notebook where driver's schedule is stored and a personal computer 82 is instructed to transfer schedule (S18), and transferred schedule is held a (S20). Then, the information about route to the destination set in the schedule is collected, and based on the information about collected route, an optimum route is retrieved before car departure (S26, S28). Thus, no destination setting by driver is required. Further, since the information about route is collected before driver's getting-on, an optimum route can be set before departure. |
