PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly and surely tune a broadcast band providing VICS (road traffic information system) information in an FM broadcast band by providing the VICS information along with character broadcast through FM multiplex broadcasting. SOLUTION: At the time of turning the broadcasting band, the presence/ absence of multiplex broadcast and the presence/absence of the VICS information are identified and the information is displayed on an LCD 7 or the like by the easily understandable expression of adding 'M' at the upper right when the multiplex broadcasting is performed and adding 'V' at the lower right further when the VICS information is included in the multiplex broadcasting or the like. Thus, since the broadcast band providing the VICS information is quickly and surely recognized, a user selects the broadcast band and obtains the VICS information. |
