PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording medium wherein the front surface and the rear surface of the recording medium can be easily discriminated even when being applied to a glossy paper, an ink jet dedicated paper or the like, and at the same time, the discrimination for the front and the rear is easy, and in addition, the appearance can be kept favorable. SOLUTION: This sheet-form ink jet recording medium 5 has the front surface 51a and the rear surface 51b. In such an ink jet recording medium, a fluorescent paint 52 is applied at a specified location on the rear surface 51b of the ink jet recording medium 5. In this case for the fluorescent paint 52, the light emission by the irradiation cannot be identified when a visible light alone is cast, but the fluorescent paint 52 emits a visible light by the irradiation when an ultraviolet ray is cast. Then, the front and the rear 51a and 51b can be discriminated by using an application location specifying means (not shown in Fig.) which can specify the application location of the fluorescent paint 52. |
