PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode for a lithium-ion secondary battery capable of lowering Li-ion diffusion resistance inside the electrode when high-current-rate charge and discharge are carried out.

SOLUTION: The electrode for a lithium-ion secondary battery has an electrolyte-retaining material arranged in gaps between electrode active materials.
