<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a direct backlight whose manufacturing cost is low, whose spacer pin is not visibly recognized by viewers, nor broken even when external force such as vibration and shock are applied thereto, and from which no unusual sound is produced with vibration, and also to provide a display device having the direct backlight mounted thereon. <P>SOLUTION: The spacer pin 9 composed of a resin is mounted on the direct backlight. The spacer pin 9 is constructed with a hemispherical part 9a and a circular truncated cone part 9b, and the spacer pin 9 is placed so as to make a thick side end part of the circular truncated cone part 9b be connected to an undersurface of a chassis and the hemispherical part 9a is on the diffusion plate side. A curvature radius R of the tip of the hemispherical part 9a is set to be 0.3-1 mm. Also the shape of the circular truncated cone part 9b is made to be a circular truncated cone shape of which the diameter A is set to be 1.1-2 mm and a ratio L/B (the ratio of the height to the undersurface diameter of the circular truncated cone part 9b) is set to be less than 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
