PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feeder capable of easily moving the paper loaded on a paper feed base to a proper horizontal position suitable for feeding. SOLUTION: In this paper feeder 10, a paper feed part 16 has a paper loading surface 50 in which an air blow port is formed. The paper feed part 16 feeds the highest paper among the paper loaded on the paper loading surface 50. An air pump 42 supplies air to an air outlet, and a first air blowout member 52 and a second air blowout member 54. The air outlet is so formed as to be able to blow out air onto the generally entire area of the lower surface of the paper loaded on the paper loading surface 50. An electronic control part prohibits the feeding of the paper by the paper feed part 16 when air is supplied to the air outlet. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
