<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a computer controlled type rotary press equipped with a device which discriminates simply and surely a printing unit being used and a position where it is used and thereby minimizes test printing and which recognizes whether the printing unit is mounted surely on a machine base frame. <P>SOLUTION: When the printing unit corresponding to the contents of a job is mounted on the machine base frame, a reading device mounted on the machine base frame detects the marking information of a marking device of the printing unit being near and outputs it to a computer for controlling the rotary press. The computer for the control stores the printing unit used for the job. On the occasion of executing the same job, the computer compares the marking information of the printing unit sent from the reading device with that of the printing unit used for the preceding job and distinguishes automatically whether the same printing unit is mounted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
