A method for loading multimedia contents in a mobile internet browser and a wireless communication terminal therefor are provided to selectively load multimedia contents of a web page in the mobile internet browser. A mobile internet browser(507) displays a display area of a web page received through a communication unit while moving(501). When a multimedia contents link is included in the display area after the movement, the mobile internet browser accesses a corresponding link address to download the multimedia contents and display it on a display unit.
