PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation input device configured to prevent unnecessary operation during pinch operation, to reduce the bother due to moving a pointer.SOLUTION: An operation input device 1 includes: a touch pad 10, as a detection section for detecting at least two touch coordinates; and a control section 20 having a touch point counting section 22 which counts the number of touch points detected by the touch pad 10, and a determination section 24 which determines a pinch operation when two touch points are detected, to perform output (display) control, on the basis of the touch detection or pinch operation. The touch pad 10 and the control section 20 have normal state that executes pointer control based on a touch operation, pinch-operation state that executes pinch control when two touch points are detected, and normal standby state, and enter the normal standby state without executing pointer control when one touch point is detected in the pinch-operation state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
