PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To update software as the need arises based on the respective functions of an image processor and information on units. SOLUTION: Transmission and reception can be performed between at least one image processor 102 and a management device 103 for conducting maintenance management of the processor 102. With respect to the updating of the software used for integratively conrolling functions necessary to operate the processor 102 and for conrolling the respective functions of the processor 102 and the operation of the units by the communications between the management device 103 and the processor 102, the management device 103 acquires information on the functions of the processor and on the units by means of the transmission and reception, and updates the software as the need arises.
