PURPOSE:To accurately record the summed-up of the number of prints in each code by using an external device having the code and a counter corresponding to the code. CONSTITUTION:Whether the code is registered or not, is checked on a RAM 102 and when the code is not registered, a normal copying mode is taken to be finished. When the code is registered, whether a main body 100 and the external device 200 are under communication or not is checked on a serial interface part 105. When they are not under the communication, it is judged that the external device 200 is not connected and a count mode is taken for only the main body 100. During the communication, whether the main body 100 and the external device 200 have first communicated or not is checked and when the communication use first, a command for a code registering mode is sent and all of the codes registered on the main body 100 are sent to the external device 200. The external device 200 registers the command and when the registering is completed, counting 211 is executed in an external counting mode. When the communication is not first, the code has already been registered in the external device 200, so that the counting 211 in the external counting mode is taken. |
