PURPOSE: To resist an impact by a snow-plough. CONSTITUTION: The reflective road stud has a hollow body 11 made of plastics, a reflector supporter 19 unified with the main body and extended to the upper section of the main body and a reflector 23 supported by the reflector supporter. The supporter 19 can be moved towards the inside of the main body 11, the main body, when an impact is applied from either side of both sides of the road stud. A wiper means 24 is installed for cleaning the reflector when the reflector is moved towards the inside of the main body. The hollow body 11 further contains a closed-cell foam material, a blow molding material or a solid elastomer material, and these materials resist the movement of the reflector supporter towards the inside of the main body, the main body, or prevent the formation of obstructing ice. |
