PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user himself/herself to appropriately perform work of replacing a foil or the like by preventing an engaging hook for engaging the foil from being damaged by a cutter when mounting a foil holder on a razor head in an electric razor. SOLUTION: The electric razor is provided with the cutter 10, the foil 11 and the foil holder 12 for holding the foil 11 in an inverse U-shape. The foil 11 is constituted of a blade body 21 and a reinforcing plate 23, and engaging holes 24 provided on the left and right are hooked and mounted on the engaging hook 35 in an inverse L-shape provided on the inner surface of the foil holder 12. By providing a protective projection 41 in a horizontally long rib shape on the lower edge of the reinforcing plate 23 and covering the lower surface side of the engaging hook 35 with the protective projection 41, the cutter 10 is blocked from abutting on the engaging hook 35 by the protective projection 41.
