<p>A system for vehicle expense tracking comprises: i) a vehicle-integrated component having: a) a prior to start user interface configured for user input of a journey category prior to starting a journey and b) a vehicle interface for obtaining at least journey start and end data from the vehicle systems to match with said journey category, ii) a communication component, allowing the vehicle-integrated component to exchange data with an extra-vehicle component, and iii) a verification component external to the vehicle, configured to receive vehicle-integrated component data from the communication unit, the data comprising journey start and end data and the journey category. The verification component further comprises an external data input to obtain external data regarding the journey and a matching unit to match the external data with the vehicle integrated component data, to provide verified journey data for the vehicle.</p> |
