<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a user interface for facilitating settings related to print specifications in the case of directly transferring color print image data to a color printer and printing the data not via a personal computer or the like by means of a large sized touch panel keyboard entry/display means and a list print means for selection guidance of the print specifications. <P>SOLUTION: The printer prints out image data received from a desired image data input device according to desired print specifications, and a print controller includes: a means for receiving the image data from the image data input device and stores the data to a memory in the printer; a means for applying a plurality of kinds of image processes to desired image data among the received image data, segmenting part of the images subjected to image processing by a plurality of kinds of print sizes, and printing a plurality of obtained image data group as one or a plurality of thumbnails; a means for selecting a segmented part of each image subjected to image processing at a plurality of kinds of the print sizes; and a means for selecting desired image data from the image data group printed as the thumbnails and printing the image data according to the desired print specifications. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
