Disclosed in the present invention are a flow control method and apparatus; in the present method, an MeNB sends a data packet and a data packet sequence number to an SeNB; and the MeNB receives an information set returned by the SeNB in response to the data packet and the data packet sequence number, wherein the information set comprises at least one of the following pieces of information: the data packet sequence number received by the SeNB from the MeNB; the sequence numbers of data packets already sent by the SeNB to a UE; the cache size available to the SeNB; and the size of data in the SeNB cache that has not been sent to the UE. The technical solution provided by the present invention optimises data transfer efficiency on the SeNB side during a two-way connection, and effectively prevents data loss that may occur on the SeNB side. |
