<p>PURPOSE: To obtain a nitrogen-containing alkoxysilane, capable of imparting hydrophobic property, positive electron charge and fluidity to the surface of a metal oxide and therefore, useful as a electrophotographic developer. CONSTITUTION: This compound is expressed by formula I [R is a di-substituted phenyl of formula II [R<1> and R<2> are each H or a 1-3C alkyl; R<3> is a 1-3C alkyl; (m) is 1,2 or 3; R' is a 1-4C alkyl, etc.], e.g. C6 H5 CH2 CH2 NH(CH2 )3 Si(OC2 H5 )3 . The compound of formula I is obtained by reacting an alkoxysilane having an amino group with a halide having phenyl group.</p> |
