The invention relates to a fingerprint input device (FAD) comprising a print sensor (PSE) which is provided with a bearing area (AFL) for a ball of the finger. Said bearing area (AFL) is arranged in a cavity for the finger (FIM) at the bottom of the surface of an object (MAU) and is essentially adapted to the size and form of a finger pad. The invention also relates to a computer mouse comprising such a fingerprint input device.
