PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a map display device capable of displaying a map enabling a user to recognize ups and downs of land easily and without a sense of incongruity. SOLUTION: The map display device is so constituted that a raster map in map data is, as shown in figure (a), a raster map (CG) generated on the basis of image data of an aerial photograph viewing a specific area on the ground from obliquely upward, and a control circuit makes the display device display the raster map.
